Both hotels are located in the Playa Dorada complex, very close to the challenging 18 hole golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones. All facilities are shared by both hotels, which offer a wide range of activities and entertainment. The resort is 650 meters from the golden beaches of Playa Dorada, a 20 minutes ride from the International Airport General Gregorio Luperón, and just 10 minutes from the town of Puerto Plata.

- Sport facilities at the hotel include three swimming pools, daily activities programme by the pool & beach in several languages (with aerobics, volleyball, etc), intro diving, two soft surface illuminated tennis courts, bicycles, exercise room, ping-pong, mini soccer, horse riding, non-motorized water sports (windsurfing, snorkelling, sailing, banana boats, kayaks), Little Village club activities programme for children, playground area for ages 4 to 12 under adult supervision (09:00-21:00) and mini golf open from 09:00-18:00. Night entertainment features local & staff shows. There is also free daily shuttle service to and from the beach (08:30-17:00).

Customers are welcomed with a cocktail. The AI programme consists of breakfast (07:00-10:30), Continental breakfast (10:30-11:30), lunch (12:30-14:30) and dinner (18:00-21:30), all buffet style, served in the main restaurant. During meals wine, beer and soft drinks from the main bar are offered (self service). Also at the disposal of the AI guests with prior reservation are the two specialty dinner restaurants; Il Mediterraneo (Italian, A la Carte), Miranda (Brazilian, with seating 18:30-20:00 & 20:30-22:00). Snacks are available between 12:00 & 15:00 at the beach club. The Popeyes pizza is open from 12:00-17:00. Tea time is from 16:00-17:00. Night snacks such as hot dogs & hamburgers are on offer at the discotheque from 23:30-06:30. Unlimited locally produced alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks like spirits, natural juices and soft drinks are served at the beach club-bar (10:00-17:00), the Sultan bar (10:00-24:00), Popeyes pool bar (11:00-17:00), Bananas bar (24hrs) and at the discotheque (23:00-02:00). Managers cocktail party takes place on a weekly basis.
