This hotel is adequate. nice people. clean, new rooms. but the description on the travel sites is extremely misleading. this is nowhere near the operatiing american consulate. the new consulate is being BUILT and won't be open for a long time. so if you are booking here to go to the american consulate you will be shelling out a lot of money for taxi fares. the hotel will provide shuttle service to the consul a couple of times per day as well as transport when a driver is available (happily) but you are not near much and the mall listed is also being built and although walkable distance, is on a treacherous stretch of highway next to the hotel that due to all of the nearby construction is not pedestrian friendly. the restaurant and listed other amenities also do NOT exist yet here-they are also being built. you can pay exhorbitant fares for delivery of food from nearby restaurants like Denny's if you want ""room service"" since wandering around Juarez is not particularly safe. the friendly, generally bi-lingual staff seem to be aware of the mis-lead expecations when you arrive and go out of their way to try to help and make things pleasant and workable, but if you want what the description says and the convenience of many things at hand, particularly easy access to the american consulate, dining, etc., don't come here at this time.
