This place was so lovely. I stayed in unit 117, which had a balcony that faced the main town (specifically the dredge). The room itself was very nice with a stone facade around the fireplace and stone flooring. The bathroom was nice and the furniture and amenities were great. The people who outfitted this room thought of everything, because sometimes I would want certain items (including a humidifier) and it was already in the room. You cannot beat the location. It is right off of main street. I could literally walk outside my door to the shops. Great place!

Der Steiermark was a bit run down. Carpet was old and stained in the hallway, chipped paint in halls, etc. For the price, it was probably worth the money, but I think we would upgrade to a nicer hotel next time. Front desk staff was wonderful, fast checkins and checkouts. We rented two suites...ours was a bit noisy as it faced a busy street and was just above the entrance. My daughter's room on the other side of the hotel was quieter. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well appointed with plenty of cookwear. Bathroom was small, but clean throughout. All in all, I would consider staying there again, but only if something better was not available in the same or slightly higher price range.
