Fall is a great time in Tahoe. The rooms were comfortable, the staff friendly. I liked the rustic look. Included is a great continental breakfast with excellent pastries, fresh fruit and coffee. Wished I would have brought my swimming suit to enjoy the pool and sauna. The location is ideal to walk around South Lake Tahoe. The only suggestions I would give is that there are more brochures about the drive around the lake, additional samples of shampoo and conditioner given daily, a laminated chart with the television channels is available ;great large flat screen tv with cable;, and intall a ski rack in the enry way area. I wiould definitely stay at this hotel again when returning to Tahoe.

The hotel is a bit quirky but very quaint and a wonderful look and feel. teh reclaimed doors and decor are delightful. The front desk staff is friendly and very helpful! Always smiling and very willing to help in any way. We were offered a complimentary glass of wine upon arrival and it was a decent Pinot! The room was a bit small, but very comfortable. I LOVE the fact that the sink is outside the rest of the bathroom! Makes it much easier for two people to get ready. During our trip, the weather was mild (high 70s during day, high 50s at night). Any hotter and the lack of air conditioning would be an issue, but this time of year is perfect. We wanted to get massages at the same time, and the staff was able to arrange masseuse schedules to accomodate us. We were very pleased. The hot tub felt great! We were walking distance to all the shops, many restaurants, and the casinos. All in all, a wonderful experience!

Rooms were clean. Beds were too small including the King size beds. No refrigerator in the room. No real air for guests such as AC or a fan that could effectively be used while sleeping. The service was fine. This is the hotel to use during the ski season not off-season.
